How do I write CTAs that get more clicks and conversions?

A call-to-action (CTA) is a powerful opportunity in your website. It is more than just “Click here”, it’s your invitation to take the next step. For service pros, an effective CTA is specific, benefit-driven, and easy to act on. The right CTA can double or triple your conversion rate without changing anything else on the page. More often than not when we audit client websites, we see weak CTAs, “Learn More” or “Read More”.

Tips for writing irresistible CTAs:

  • Make it clear what they’ll get
“Get Your Free Quote” is better than “Submit”.

  • Focus on benefits
Use language that highlights the result — “Book a Consultation to Boost Your Sales” feels more motivating.

  • Create urgency
Limited-time offers or spots encourage quicker action.

  • Keep it short
A good CTA is usually under 7 words.

  • Test and refine
Try different button text, colors, and placement to see what performs best.
Apparently Rounded buttons perform better. Research by Dipayan Biswas, Annika Abell, and Roger Chacko shows that rounded CTA buttons get significantly more clicks than sharp-cornered ones, with click-through rates (CTR) 17% to 55% higher. Have you noticed our buttons…?
